I believe you are the expert on yourself and your relationships.
Whether you’re navigating personal growth, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I’m here to walk alongside you in the process. My approach is client-centered: you bring the story, and I help you make sense of it. We will uncover the patterns that keep you stuck in a loop, and I will ask the questions that will help propel you forward into creating the life and relationships you deserve. If you are ready to dig deep, challenge old patterns, and embrace change, I think we’d make the perfect match.
Meet Amanda Lopez-Martinez
I am a second-generation Latina of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, raised in Humboldt Park. These parts of my identity color my therapeutic approach: I lead with a decolonial and feminist lens, and my practice is systemic and rooted in attachment theory.
We’ll explore emotions, connections, and the ways you show up in the world. I offer a balance of warmth and thoughtful challenge, prioritizing empathy and authenticity. If you’re excited to explore what’s possible and take an active role in your growth, I’d love to work with you.
I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at The Family Institute at Northwestern University and my Bachelor’s at DePaul University, where I minored in Latin American and Latino Studies. In my free time, you can find me practicing yoga, at a Cubs game, or watching reality TV.
